Kootenay River

When traveling through Kootenay National Park in British Columbia one follows the Kootenay River for much of the way. We made numerous stops along the river both by way of hunting orchids and also enjoying the scenery. The day we traveled through the park we had clear skies and sunshine in the morning changing to more threatening weather and rain late afternoon. This photo shows the thunderheads building to the north, though we did not get rain until much later.
