Trisetella dressleri

Trisetella dressleri
Trisetella is a small genus of tiny orchids that used to be classified as Masdevallias, and the resemblance is obvious. This plant is only 3 cm tall and the flowers are 1 cm in size. The plant will do well either in a small pot or mounted, but needs cool temperatures since it is from the high cloud forests. Trisetella dressleri is from Panama and is named after an American botanist, Robert Dressler.

Hi Ron. Long time, no chat. Do you still grow this species?

Hi Kevin,
I am no longer growing orchids at all. In 2017 I had major health problems and it was year (three hospitalizations and a long recovery) before I was back to a semblance of normality. Late in the year I retired and we moved to eastern Washington. In the process many of my orchids died of neglect and I finally gave up the hobby.
Nice to hear from you.
