For harvesting barley on Klamath/Tulelake Basin homesteads. Built in Stockton, California, 1920. This is on a ranch next to the WWII Tulelake POW camp.

It looks like it was made in somebody's barn, but there was a real company making these. ;-)

Yes, the Klamath Basin - a wide, flat plain surrounded by mountains - is in both Oregon and California. The part in Calif. is even more desolate than in Oregon.
