Possibly, but could be from Mexico, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, or others down south. It's a company founded by a Cuban family, I believe. Cafe Bustelo has a cult following in the NYC Dominican neighborhood, but I had no idea about that until recently. Thank you, Andy!

My girlfriend buys Guatamalan from Starbucks. I prefer stronger stuff and get a 3-way blend of Kenyan, Ethiopian and Brazilian.

I do like to know. But, why Starbuck's? I am shocked! Surely there is better Spanish coffee to be had!

I love Kenyan coffee, but it's horribly expensive here. I don't think I've had Ethiopian, but used to go to a tiny Brazilian coffee shop in San Francisco when I lived down there. The coffee was fabulous, heady stuff!

Spain doesn't do good coffee in the main. They never really got over the poverty years of the 40s and 50s when chicory was used as a cheaper alternative. I go to the market where a French stall owner has a variety of coffees from round the world.
You simply cannot buy good coffee in the supermarkets here. There are one or two speciality shops for coffee but very few and far between.
The everyday cafe or restaurant serves very middling coffee which makes Starbuck's taste like real coffee in comparison!
It's not like Italy or France!! I got much better coffee in England (shops and cafes) and never had to resort to Starbuck's there!).,

I'm glad to say we can buy decent coffee in Germany, there are several local coffee roasters..For a better conscience I usually buy organic fair trade coffee. In their beginnings fair trade coffee was awful stuff, but that was decades ago;-)

I will vouch for that, Gudrun. I had excellent coffee at the airport in Frankfurt on my way back from Italy (coffee paradise!). At the San Francisco airport many hours later, I had mediocre coffee at one of our better coffee chains called Pete's. Ugh! Once you've had coffee in Italy, you're spoiled for life - lol!

The arrogant Starbuck's just opened in Milan and I hope they fail!

Yes, I read about Starbucks in Milan... I guess it will be tourists going there;-)

No doubt, especially Americans afraid of ordering coffee in a foreign country. If there's a Pizza Hut nearby, they'll be all set!
