Classic Gibraltar

A view from the middle station of the 'Rock of Gibraltar Cable-car' looking West, down to the Gibraltar Canyon.
The rock of Gibraltar and Mosque from Europa Point

As the mist starts to lift of the rock we can enjoy the real view from here. A wonderful spot to walk and gaze.
Sunset at Marbella

As the sun dips to the horizon, its time for just a bit more fishing as well as a snap from yours truly.
Burg Eltz
I first visited this place in 1979, and so it was in some trepidation that it might have lost some of its charm some 35 years later but no, it is still charming and a must visit place for anybody visiting the Moselle

Christmas in Marbella, Spain

As Christmas celebrations begin on this twentieth of December, a bottle of wine to be opened accompanies this beautiful little chapel and Christmas lights.
I wish all my viewers here a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

A view from Oberwesel

Along the town walls of Oberwesel on the Rhein are many fine views. Enjoy with me this one looking at one of the old towers.
Reflections on the Mosel
A corner of Dovestones

As I see perfect reflections and try to stop the front bright sun from obliterating the scene the end result is this, Moments later the birds where in the air and the reflections starting to vanish.
The trees in mist

There is something about these trees in this mist that suggest that they are on the move. For me, a grand subject, taken in my local park.
Zug und Wein aus dem Rhein
Colours of the Rhein

Bingen on the great River Rhein is a colourful place with wonderful views all around. Castles abound too but here we have some flavour of the heart of the place. With these vineyards and the river as a background this simple plant pot and flowers makes up truly welcome.
Thinking!

Seen near the church of 'Our Lady' in Koblenz, Germany. Not really one of my usual subjects but I could not resist after seeing this candid pose. Unfortunately the ladies name nor thoughts, I did not get!
Memories of Koblenz
The Rhein, cable-cars, castles and music all bring together very pleasant memories of this great town.
Castle!
Mist layers from Gummer's How

A little bit of imagination added to this but I hope it does not detract from the natural beauty of the moment. Gummers How is a famous viewpoint hill on the West side of our Lake Windermere.
Burg Katz from St Goar
The Rhein shows off one its iconic castles and also the advent of an early Autumn. Taken from the village of St Goar, about 26km south of Koblenz. The village shown here is opposite St Goar and is called St Goarhausen.
The Rhein from Loreleyblick
The rock of The Loreley (Lorelei) is seen here across the river at bottom right. To the left is the Loreley campsite with Burg Katz and its attending village of St Goarhausen just below the castle at the top end of this scene, across the river again.
Burg Pfalzgrafenstein

A beautiful little castle mid-stream of the river Rhein. Maybe the weather could have been better for this snap but one has to work with what one gets.
