The Isle of Arran from Skipness

Last year whilst on a trip to The Mull of Kintyre we visited Skipness and its castle. Whilst there we took a short stroll along its pebbled beach with vistas over to Arran. The small white houses on the centre of this shoreline belong to the village of Lochranza, home of a grand ruined castle and a fine distillery. Perhaps really though, the star of this view is the magnificent sky.

Seems amazing that it was only 12 months ago that we were there. A lot of photos taken and I do like reminding myself of the place. great that you enjoyed it with me too. -Arran is an amazing Island.

I climbed up Goat Fell on Arran many years ago :-). I didn't have a camera in those days and smart phones were non-existent :-)
