A walk in the snow

A walk in the snow
A band of cold air brings new snow to our area. This is the most I have seen here this year - so far and so it allows me to go for a local walk with the camera. The trees looked good to me even without the added sunshine. Twenty four hours later and most of this has already gone.

Wow! That's quite an impressive amount of snow Herb.............and I have to say it's really beautiful, especially in that lovely winter sunshine. I love your composition here (and you've exposed for the snow perfectly).............the snow-laden tree branches are especially pretty!

No snow down this part of the country.............just cold and wet :-(

It seemed a lot at the time and indeed was still falling quite heavily as I set off. I know from experience that it is difficult to capture snow well. Happy that you enjoyed this and the PiP photo too. I thought some of the snow came over the south but maybe only the south west?

The snow hasn't made it down this far - as you say there is a bit in the far south west, and in Wales and Northern Ireland.

Yes a bit of blue does make a big difference here. A lot of instant snow for us - all gone now. Some more forecast this week though.
