The red bike!

The canals of Amsterdam are quite beautiful as well as practical in this watery city. Such bikes on these bridges have been photographed, painted and drawn many times by artist and tourist alike. Here is my attempt at being artistic with this subject too. Taken after a canal boat trip along this very same stretch of water.

I like the look of this image...............all except the sky, which I think is a bit too messy. I think if you cropped to to 16:9 format to lose the sky it would be excellent!

Haha, we are all different Keith. I seem to remember that the sky was featureless and so I used a mask and selective burning-in. It was all just an exercise really and was never meant for 'exhibition' but I ended up putting it in Panoramio (I think) and having come across it again in my giant collection decided that it suited the HFF group as something different from me. (I'll be putting in nudes next :) ) As you say, the 16:9 format would suit too.
