I'm not sure whether these are fences or not but they're certainly very striking, especially the large triangular one in the centre of the frame. They seem to fit in well with this particular stage of the tide too.

Such a compelling shot Herb...........I really like your composition and the sky is very dramatic and the silvery light on the water is gorgeous.

You're very early today Keith! Great that you like it so much. Of course this scene is a little bit skewed by the fact that it has been taken with my very wide 10mm wide angle lens. However that is what our hobby is about, seeing and recording real life but not necessarily how we first perceive it, as in your macro shots.

Up early 'cos we were expecting a sunny day out and it was lovely first thing. Decided to go for a haircut first though, but by the time I got out of the barber's shop it was raining hard again, so we gave up on the day out and went home again! It's now 5pm and it's still raining!

I just add that I've been trying to find the time to have a haircut these past 2 months. My dad says I look like the Wreck of the Hesperus! (Look it up if you want!)

Yes, finding time for haircuts can be a problem. One of the advantages of being retired is that, time for haircuts has now improved somewhat. Glad you liked the pic Andy.

Went to look about the Wreck of the Hesperus… it seems my new haircut fits the description (I had to cut my very long hair short because of the glue they put at hospital in my wound on the skull, they glued it insanely and made me dread locks… )
