Interesting! We don't get that kind of reaction in Spain, indeed it would be considered weird. Children everywhere are celebrated by family, friends and strangers alike and no one would bat an eylid at anyone taking photos of a children's football match!

Its all to do with political correctness gone mad and the psychy of our young people nowadays. Whilst working at my school I had to get parental consent to even include a pupil within a large group photo. Quite a different attitude to the Spanish I believe.

Hi Herb I was once questioned by the school staff at a school sports day for taking photos I voluntary deleted the photos in front of them . AT A Sports DAY ?????.

Like me then you have personal experience of such things. Its all nutty really. As said above pollical correctness gone mad. I once had to delete photos of a works yard (for a Mills of Oldham project) after being threatened that they were calling the police!

A good view of this soccer field, Herb. My grandson once played soccer and, although I had permission to take photos, I was made to feel fairly uncomfortable about it. HFF and have a good weekend.

I once got called a paedophile for taking a photo of some teenagers jumping into the sea off a pier in Southsea, one of whom was apparently his son. This was despite large notices warning of the danger of doing so as there were large rocks under the shallow water. He was getting very aggressive. Luckily I was in the company of some friends.

He left me alone when I pointed out that that he was quite happily watching his son putting his life at risk, while all I was doing was taking a photo!

I suspect that a lot of people who complain, will quite often put phots of their kids on social media anyway.

Wow -that was an experience for you Keith. Worse even than the threat against me of of police action. (See my reply to Toz). Yes, things have gone all mixed up nowadays. Kids happily pose in pornographic snaps to send to their mates and friends as do many adults too but try to take an innocent photo that has a child somewhere in the frame and you are a criminal. Anyway, I have not been so put off as to not to have posted this which is all about fences, lenses, Ipernity and the happenchance of young humans enjoining themselves in a natural manner.

I do agree with you and Keith about the way people always see things which are not there! Paedophile, racist, etc etc. I always maintain that 'woke' people who always notice that kind of thing have sick minds which are full of paedophile, racism, etc etc, which is why they notice!
I remember a few years ago, three of us from work, all over 60, went to a meeting in a different town. We were quite a bit early, so we went and sat on a bench in the park next door, which coincidentally was next to the young children's playground.. It was time to go when one of us pointed out what it must have looked like!
