The green cove

The green cove
It was not all green like this but there was a lot of this green sea-weed just in this corner. In other places I might have thought it some kind of pollution but this looked in good condition and so must be quite natural. This is in fact an old whaling station cove in County Mayo Ireland. Long since abandoned.

A magical shot Herb. That lush green seaweed has softened the profiles of the foreground rocks beautifully...........and the the contrast between the covered and uncovered rock and cliffs is just wonderful.

I love the glimpse of the calm water and the smaller rocks breaking the horizon. Gorgeous light too.

Always good that you can see into my pictures Keith. I loved these greens and they were surprisingly not slippery. A lovely little cove where I took a few photos but this green made this stand out.
