Grosmont and the NYMR
A glimpse into old England here as we spend a few hours at the small village of Grosmont in the North Yorkshire moors. This is a busy working home for the NYMR heritage Railway (North Yorkshire Moors Railway). Its main line runs from Pickering to Whitby via Goathland. Grosmont is the start of its recent extension to the seaside town of Whitby and also houses the lines big maintenance yard.

A fabulous shot Herb. I was going to take my granddaughter on a steam train to Minehead last year, but we all know why that didn't happen! Hopefully later this year though. You have captured the steam so beautifully! Cheers, Rosa.

Hi Rosa, Minehead station ands its Steam Engines are great as I have stood on that very platform and caught the Steam trains too. Maybe later this year for you and your granddaughter, glad you liked this one.
