Happy New Ipernity!

Piethorn Reservoir: A first look at this reservoir for us on this new walk only a few miles from home. This is one of six reservoirs all near to each other above the village of Newhey, Rochdale. This 180° view is made from a stitch of 4x 6000x4000 landscape photos before reduction for Ipernity upload.

I was just about to upload this before Ipernity collapsed last year.

A wonderful panoramic shot Herb................beautifully exposed across the whole scene. The light is lovely as is the sky and it's reflection in the water. The colours in the landscape are really gorgeous. Very nicely captured..............and obviously best viewed large.

I agree it's good to be back posting "live" photos Herb.

Great to see you again on these 'live' photos Keith. As you have observed, the lighting was just wonderful as I took this. I have two identical 17" monitors and to see the original 8000pixel wide photo stretched almost to four feet is amazing. Naturally I am pleased that you have enjoyed this.

Good to back on here with our latest photos Toz. Great that you liked this one. I have now added the info for the stitch in my description box. The whole picture in the original high def certainly looks impressive. Glad you too, took a look on your big screen. (I Used my 2x27" HP IPS monitors side by side to check it out at that size on the 8000 wide pixel pano but I could have looked at it on my 42" TV too but not in high def.)

Hi George, just seen this from you. Great as usual that you liked another of my shots. I am reminded with this just how beautiful my local countryside within 3-7 miles away from my front door can be. A first visit to this spot and I cannot but help to think we saw it at its best here. Great that I managed to capture it so nice for you. Keep safe my friend. I think of you all over there in a very different climate to us but in a similar state of photographic mind..
