Such a fantastic view across the lake to those majestic mountains. Brilliantly captured Herb. I especially like the reflections.

Another superb image in the PiP too.........the colour of the water is sublime and the reflections are perfect.

Keith, we can travel Scotland and then the Alps or other European mountain ranges but when you get to the Rockies, you know you are on an altogether different scale. Thousands of rivers, lakes and peaks with dozens of glaciers thrown in too. This lake from different angles was deep emerald green caused by Glacier powder. One of my other shots here shows the canoes too . A spot never to be forgotten. A landscape photographers paradise indeed. Glad you liked them.

Yes Eva. In the end, that is what we only have left and even that can be stolen away from us. A beautiful part of the world and a once in a lifetime experience. By the time I did this trip, I knew well the worth of a good camera, lens and a bit of patience.

With scenes like this, it is difficult not to get a great shot Roger. It was possible to hire a canoe on here but our stay was far too short for that, it being really a lunch stop. Glad you liked it. ~ Herb

Stunning images Herb. The scenery is breathtaking. I love the perfect reflections and how tranquil it looks.

Every turn here was stunning Carol. One has to wonder how a country can be so lucky as to have places like this and we are yet again reminded about our lovely planet and the need to keep it going healthily. I am sure they will have a lake somewhere near here called Lake Tranquil :)

Hi George, indeed they were spectacular. It had almost all gone into the realms of time until being re-kindled on Friday night. I am so happy that we can re-live our past trips via video and photos on our weekly DVD holiday sessions. Sad! you may say but for us sheer happiness! Happy that you joined us with this one.
