Thanks for this Toz. When I saw this and my other taken images of the same, I had thought of Lowry's paintings too. Not quite enough figures maybe and looking the wrong way perhaps but there are, as you say, similarities. Cheers my friend. Herb

Beautiful, Herb.To me it has something from the installation Another Place from Antony Gormley, now on Crosby Beach near Liverpool, that I saw in Sola, Norway and loved so much.

Hi Danny - I have walked through by the statues in Crosby beach and indeed took a lot of photos (posted in Panoramio) and so I know exactly what you mean. When I saw this scene through my viewfinder I knew it reminded me of something but I could not think what. So you, having reminded me now of that piece of art by Antony Gormley has placed it perfectly. My thinks for that alone. - Great that you enjoyed this and it brought back memories of Norway for you.
