The Edro III on the 'Sea Caves' rocks

Paphos, Cyprus is the scene for this catastrophe. Situated in an area know as 'Sea Caves'. The Edro ran aground in 2011 carrying a cargo of plasterboard. Now a tourist attraction for the many visitors who walk this magnificent coast.

... good that petroleum products were salvaged, but every time I see an abandoned shipwreck, the cynical environmentalist in me says: the entire county could recycle metal for decades, and not come close to the amount of steel corroding away in that abandoned hulk ... and ships that are sanitized and scuttled to form reefs for recreational fishing purposes, well that's a short-sighted waste of steel ... (hmm, used that soapbox up) ...
HFF and a lovely weekend
