Lovely light, Steve. Yes, the ISO settings that the modern cameras can handle are totally amazing to those of us who began with 25 ASA Kodachrome 11. :-) HFF and best wishes for the weekend.

my fav film was ASA 25 kodak slide film best natural colours you could ever get, not sure the have a name for this ASA though, HFF you have a great weekend dont go visiting Victoria.

A superb image with the light on the top rail, I think there is nothing wrong with high ISO settings for a start 99% of images are only viewed on a screen so it's as good as the screen, I think to much attention is paid by ''experts'' on the technical aspects of an image instead of the image, they try to tell you it's impossible to have a good image without spending an hour pretending to improve it in an editing programme , yes I do edit sometimes often to remove something that really shouldn't there. Peter you are right but as a person that does a lot of high ISO work already it was a shock to see the camera go so high but I agree a good result. No soap box needed cause I agree with you more old school the image should be right not spend hours trying to make it right in photo shop. HFF all the best for your weekend.

What an excellent fence Steve. Love the highlights on the top fence and I wonder what the source was. An incredible iso that the majority of camera's could ever match. Considering such a high iso the background noise is almost none-existent. Very well done.

well after this shot but still some light from the setting sun in the hole. I did run the shot through Denoise and got this but you can see the result of noise. HFF we are wet wet wet but has been very busy not sure where it went in the end.

The shot has had a run through Topaz Denoise so most taken out but full size on my screen I can pick the effects this size looks ok. HFF you enjoy your summer not enjoying the rains.

A very nice picture, which I like very much. You have caught the glint of light very well.

I must say that sometimes I have let the camera decide for me on a night time shot, and it has pushed the ISO up like this, but on balance, a good result.

Certainly nothing wrong with this one!

Peter I tend to control the camera 100% this was me not sure of the camera and letting it choose on Auto ISO, one of the many setting I had not fully set up. I do like control of my shots so I know the results this came as a surprise.
