Crab Apples

Crab Apples
Every year these lovely apples ripen, fall to the ground and go to waste. No one knows anymore how to make wonderful jelly with this fruit.

Rosalyn Hilborne, , Majka and 2 other people have particularly liked this photo

Surely you know, Dörthe. The recipe is on the insert in the Sure-Jell package. They are particularly beautiful fruits.

I would pick them if the tree weren't standing in a ditch filled with nettles and thistles.

Danke, aNNa! Leider ist die wunderschoene Farbe im Foto garnicht richtig zu sehen. Diese kleinen Zieraepfel sind ein Wunder der Natur, sie leuchten herrlich.

Lovely picture Doerthe. I recently bought some crab apple jelly at a church fete. It was delicious!

Thanks, Ros.

I have never had jelly but was told it is delicious. It is too bad that I wouldn't be able to pick the fruit of this tree, it is standing in a ditch full of nettles and thistles.
