My most prized find today: The remains of a 350 Mill. years old shell.
I have one other piece of this type of shell I had found a few miles farther north at the beach of Lake Huron.

Based on my childhood of collecting such things, I said "brachiopod". When I read the Wikipedia article, I found that the subject is terribly complicated and unsettled. It is amazing to find such old things lying on the beach.

I was very surprised and amazed that I found this piece today. Richard was sitting in the car, he cannot walk very much anymore, the reason for my to only spend half an hour walking along the beach. The mystery of such a find is what makes it so valuable to me.
