For World Photography Day I thought I would see how much of the world I could get into one photo without a trip into space. So walked up to an easily attained height on Cown Edge and this view west at Coombes Rocks I like this photo but the visibility beyond the city of Manchester is poor. In good conditions it is easy to see the Liverpool’s 2 Cathedrals build on higher ground than most of the city. Not in this photo but the one I imagined to the South West it is sometimes even possible to to see the highest mountains in North Wales. So a reasonable effort in the circumstances. This is taken with my reserve camera a Fujifilm XE-1 with Film simulation of Fuji Velvia film.

My photo for World Photography Day. This is a place I walk passed on most days and it always seems to look very different through the seasons and water levels high and low. There was no train running today and the leaves on the track were quite a surprise. A first sign that Autumn is only a few weeks away.
