So how is it going so far part 2
Mickey fez3 comments224 visitsThis part deals with the arrival of Ellen a much harder adjustment in someways. I live in a small 3 bedroom house with only one lounge or living room 18ft x12ft so space is tight. Ellen's room is the largest of the bedrooms and needs to be. She has more stuff than an auction room. She is up at 5 am most days for a 6am start so generally away to bed not long after 9.We have one meal together usually around 5 which is good, I enjoy cooking for two and she enjoys my meals. A couple of times a week… (read more)

The dog/cat site I have posted on many times a day everyday for 7 years was taken over 2 years ago. Get what you can off your pages (each pet has a page.. and many of us learned to code so we could make beautiful pages. I hav… (read more)
Pippin went to visit his favourite place - NOT....
Jenny McIntyre11 comments124 visits1He's been washing and washing his legs and back for some time now and he was starting to look manky. I looked very carefully to see if he'd got fleas, but as I do give him regular flea treatments, that didn't seem likely........ so it was a case of ' let's see if the vet can do something for him'. My friend Yvonne very kindly offered to take him to the vet for me and she promptly arrived at 1pm. The appointment was for 1.30pm so she had allowed time to catch him - LOL. Now both Pippin and… (read more)

Now I'm on my own again ...............
Jenny McIntyre9 comments180 visitsWell Mandi went off this afternoon, but not til we'd been shopping. I thought it was going to be about a fortnight before I could go shopping again, so bought enough in only to find out after Mandi left, that Ann will be here to take me next Thursday. At least I know I have a week of being able to go at my pace and to enjoy myself............... Anyway after Mandi left I thought I'd go around the garden and see how things are going because we've been lucky with just a quick shower during the… (read more)

Just thought you'd like to see the driveway.......
Jenny McIntyre12 comments167 visitsI was going to say that I'd taken my camera upstairs again but then realised that it could be interpreted the wrong way, so I just wrote this.............. I love looking through the bathroom window every morning to see the view from there. Pippin joins me while I just lean on the window sill and look out. He loves sitting there because he can see the birds and other cats from his vantage point. I know when he sees the little birds hopping from branch to branch, cos his tail flicks from side… (read more)
Rain and a dead bird to start the day badly
Mickey fez3 comments224 visitsA lousy day with wind and driving rain here. I have been cabined up with two cats of a mischievous nature. after lunch little spells of sunshine broke out soon replaced by heavy hail showers. Last night after giving the cats a few treats Ellen left the open bag on the coffee table. Zazzles discovered this later and with one swipe of his paw knocked it off sending Smartie sized treats in all directions. I don't know how many he ate before a got to them but he had a smug look on his face. A… (read more)

Heatwave? What heatwave?
Bee Orchid9 comments121 visitsWe’re having here what some call Yo Yo weather; one day high winds and heavy rain, the next very sunny and mild. The forecasters had ‘promised’ a heatwave by the end of the week, but I’m guessing they just mean London. If it ain’t happening in London, then it ain’t happening. That’s my interpretation anyway. It’s sunny here today with some light winds, but 15C doesn’t make it a heatwave in my opinion. Work has been pretty busy with me getting in early most days to set up cameras for recording… (read more)
Pippin had to go to the vet today............
Jenny McIntyre226 visitsPoor Pippin was so totally unaware of what was going to happen today when he woke up!!! There he was snoozing quietly on my bed, having a lovely dream. He came downstairs when he heard me put his food bowl down. He stretched and flexed his claws, then ambled outside to whatever he gets up to out there............ Then at 1pm I locked the cat flap, so that he could come in but not go out again. That was the idea anyway, but another cat had managed to slip in to, no doubt, eat Pippin's food… (read more)
The first full day with my new lodgers ahead and all is quiet, that won't last
Mickey fez4 comments294 visitsHappy St Patrick's day to all. The first full day of the full house starts, well it started at 6:30am when Sooty decided he wanted somebody to talk to so he pawed me awake and told me some tale, maybe the cats had decided between them that they would allow me to stay who know? which was very kind of them. They both followed me downstairs had some breakfast and a look at the birds through the window then went back upstairs to be with Ellen no doubt. All is quiet for now but that won't last wh… (read more)
This is more like summer should be,bring it on
Mickey fez4 comments142 visitsToday turned into a scorcher in my little garden suntrap, hit 90 around the hottest part of the day which is usually about 3 o'clock.Thankfully the humidity has dropped to under 70 but is still very sticky. I decided against an afternoon stroll with a warm breeze combined with the sun we had a recipe for sunburn. instead I splashed some more of the coconut smelling stuff on and divided my time between the garden and sat in front of the turbo fan.It has a12" multi bladed fan and really blasts cool… (read more)
A good soaking and a gift for Mother
Mickey fez4 comments148 visitsThis morning there was no sign of the promised strong wind and rain. This altered my plan for shopping I strolled over did my big shop left it to be delivered and headed home again. I was strolling along nicely but as I got on to the bridge and nowhere near shelter the wind started howling and the rain lashed down.I did the only thing I could do,got wet, very wet.Walking the best part of a mile into driving rain and a strong wind is not fun. Still at least it was on the homeward leg and I was… (read more)
Sorry for my absence folks....
Jenny McIntyre13 comments162 visits1Hiya folks, sorry I've been so lax in both answering your blogs and photos and also letting you know what's been going on in my part of the world. As you know - I was taken into hospital again!! Apparently in their haste to rid me of the fluid around my heart, I lost so much that I endangered my kidneys!!! So I had to go into hospital to have the proper balance worked out. I can add that I'm fine now, but because my medications were changed three times inside a month, they totally disagreed w… (read more)
An interesting day
Mickey fez5 comments161 visitsAn interesting day. First thing to go belly up was my PC keyboard as you may have read,I coupled my desktop speakers to the laptop as well to get some decent sound. The next incident concerned a little black cat called Sooty,he caught and ate a mouse.I went to take it off him but he saw me coming and was over the wall and onto the little green before I could get there. He gave it a good chewing but I don't know if he actually ate it. He is non the worse either way, eating and drinking as norm… (read more)
work in the garden
Mickey fez3 comments114 visitsA dry day with a promise of sunshine greeted me when I rose.So walk or work was the question.I decided on work because the back grass really needed tackling. A leisurely breakfast watching the birds first then a catch up on the news reader before I started. As I began to get the tools out my assistant gardener Sooty took a great deal of interest as always and followed me outside. He walking alongside me as I checked for any objects lying in the grass that would damage the strimmer,so far so good… (read more)
