As you know - I was taken into hospital again!! Apparently in their haste to rid me of the fluid around my heart, I lost so much that I endangered my kidneys!!! So I had to go into hospital to have the proper balance worked out. I can add that I'm fine now, but because my medications were changed three times inside a month, they totally disagreed with my balance even more!!!!! When my neighbour came to collect me, I realised that I was feeling rather sickly. Fresh air will make me feel okay, I bravely said to myself and for about 8 miles it worked!!! Then we found ourselves behind a huge queue and were overtaken at speed by two police cars, an ambulance and a fire engine!!! Oh oh - a car accident!!! I started to feel queasy, and then we found ourselves approaching a 5 car pile-up!! Unfortunately there was nowhere for my neighbour to pull in to allow me to be ill. There was chaos at the accident site, and I do believe that three of the drivers were taken to hospital with severe injuries. The fact that there weren't any deaths was a miracle. One car was virtually cut in half, another one didn't have a front nor a rear!!! It must have been an incredibly fast accident.
Suffice to say, the rest of the journey wasn't very nice, as my nausea was in full throes. At last we reached my home and with difficulty I got to my lounge. The bliss of things not moving was wonderful. I have never suffered from motion sickness before, and it's not fun at all. My friend got me to bed, with a hot water bottle and an electric blanket. I tried to sleep but only managed about a half an hour all the night, while I was being very ill all the rest of the time. That was on the Tuesday night and I don't remember much until the Thursday!!!! My neighbours were absolutely wonderful, they were in and out to check how I was feeling. I ventured out of my bedroom on Friday and have gradually become better. Oh boy - that was something I never want to have again.
Anyway to better things. There are two Maine Coon cats new in the area. I gather they live about four houses away, but they have taken liberties with my Pippin's food. They come through the cat flap - even if I'm in the kitchen!!!! When they saw me looking at them, I had to ask them what they thought they were doing, and then they went back out through the cat flap. Well today it allowed me to take a couple of photos of it.....
As I started to feel better, and had had a visit from the local District Nurse, who took even more blood from me, I started to regain my enjoyment of my resin jewellry. I am really enjoying myself, I try to come up with different designs, and hope that others will like them too.
I felt like using red flower parts and green leaves with holographic hearts. Then I made some golden ones. A crescent with some golden parts of flowers, and a tiny cat, with the same parts of flowers. I think I'd like to make more like them, but I'm still waiting for the molds to come from China.
Well, that's about all the news. I do hope that you are all well, and are being good and staying safe. It's still damn cold here in the UK - even when it's lovely blue sky and sun, it's really cold. Still I tend to watch idiots deciding to swim in the sea!! I love watching the webcams set up near the sea in Westward Ho!. I understand that this "wild water swimming" is very common here in the UK and other countries, but in THIS weather? I understand that it's refreshing to swim in the cold sea, but I'll just take their word for it and watch from a safe distance - my lounge!!
Take care and stay safe. I'll try not to leave it so long before I write again.
There will always be idiots who are dying to get where they need to be, faster. I always leave plenty of time for my journey, and if late - well nobody will die if I'm a few minutes late. I'm not fast on the roads.
Sorry to see you were so poorly. Hope they've sorted you out now, and that you can settle back into your routines. You do have wonderful neighbours.
I meant to add: you could squirt the interloper with a plant spray filled with water to deter them from eating the cat food. They don't like it, and it won't hurt them.
Jenny McIntyre club has replied to Bee OrchidI'm pleased that you like my pendants too - I'd never done anything like that before last year, so I'm thrilled that they are turning out as well as they are. I see some amazingly wonderful designs, which are a whole world away from mine, but they've probably been at it for years.
I see you have become even more creative with your mold shapes. You really do impress me. Just Lovely..
Glad you're back. xo
Jenny McIntyre club has replied to GracieThat cat looks lovely and Pippin in very tolerant. What gorgeous fur ! Our visiting cat came round last night - at about a quarter to midnight ! and had breakfast about an hour ago, What's more I got to give him a hug, only the second time in all his visits - his time as a stray has affected his friendliness and makes him exceptionally timid. Currently sleeping off his breakfast and long walk about - we see him something like 1 day in three, sometimes every other day.
Most beautiful pendants, Jenny. I'm quite jealous of your skills. If you can bear to part with them, I know I don'r like sending home the carriages we've worked on, in case they get broken ...
Now, my best wishes & Keep Safe, my dear ...
Jenny McIntyre club has replied to StoneRoad2013 clubThe cat is very pretty, I give you that, but cheeky with it. I'm pleased that he and Pippin get on so well, because I don't want Pippin to feel lonely. I don't think I have any skills with the pendants. It's all hit and miss a lot of the time, but I'm getting more pleasure out of it, now they are looking reasonably good!!!!
Stay safe too, x
Thanks for this blog, it was so wonderful to know that you're ok. I was really sorry to hear about your motion sickness though, how awful! :( I've suffered from motion sickness enough to know how horrible it can be. Miserable, endless torment. But thankfully you're on the mend now.
The new kitties are certainly making themselves at home, the little stinkers! The one you photographed is gorgeous though, I must say! Glad that Pippen isn't fighting with them.
I love your new designs! I'm glad you're enjoying these resins so much, what a great way to express your creativity!
Thanks again for this blog...it was wonderful to know that you are ok and doing so much better.
