Anyway, thanks for the photo: I'd never heard of Glossop before but ended up driving around it in the Google Map car. Such a beautiful limestone town!
I couldn't find the Howard's manor house though. Perhaps it never existed, considering the seat of Duke of Norfolk is located in Sussex?
Colin Ashcroft club has replied to SpoThe Manor House is long gone now just residential housing but my local public park is the former Manor gardens so is called Manor Park. It was the Duke of Norfolk and the nearest school to us is named after the Duke. Yes Arundel Sussex is the Duke’s home but we do have Arundel Street.
The rich just get richer :-(
