I had been meaning to acquire a type holder for god knows how long, and then it just sort of landed upon me: I was gifted with this vintage German type holder last June, and it came with a set of type too.

comes with silly looking pheasants and one mutated desert plant. Mostly made of plant dyed yarn including nettle, madder and alder bark with iron oxide. Very good time of the year to knit warm woollen garments.

A while ago I was asked to bind a set of books that apparently was once gifted to well-known Finnish poet Eino Leino, and later to his brother Artturi. The Lönnbohms, or maybe someone else in the more recent years, were quite selectively interested in Lapland as only some of the chapters in these books were opened. I put the set of four books in hard covers and finished them with natural linen-cotton bookcloth and printed titles, preserving the original edges.
