personal journal, rescued from a lump of discarded test pieces. The flesh side of the goatskin has natural white paper with blue ship imagery. I was taught to be a firm believer in the hardcover codex format, so I am only now discovering limp bindings, most of which are very basic and simple yet surprisingly useful.

A variation of the historical longstitch structure with stitches covered in weaving. Covered with flax paper, sewn through the spine with linen thread. The cover of the book wraps round the foredge and can be closed around the leaf motif button with a hand-braided linen cord. Approx. 160 pages of gray-brown recycled paper inside.
