Long Beach Sunset
I was barely in time to catch this sunset. Just a moment later the colour rapidly disappeared. Best viewed at "original" size in "See all sizes".

Running wild
As we drove through the forest areas of eastern Victoria, white flowers on a climber were draped everywhere. They proved to belong to a native plant, Australian Clematis (Clematis aristatus) . Best viewed on black (press 'Z').
Note on top left shows the flowers in context.

Busy bee
Bee on a callistemon (bottlebrush) flower. Taken on a quite windy day, hence the high shutter speed.

Indigo is magenta
It took me quite a while to put an ID to these little flowers, growing commonly alongside the road in the forested areas of Gippsland. Finally I have come up with what I think is the answer: they seem to be Australian Indigo Indigofera australis . Now, I would have thought that indigo is a shade of blue, but the reference says the flowers are "attractive pink to lilac..." and all the other details such as leaves seem to fit.

Minolta doll
Long ago in the 1960s, when I purchased my first Minolta SR1, with it as a gift came a Japanese doll standing about 250mm high and "Minolta" on the base. Does anyone else remember these? When I was testing a SMC Pentax FA 100mm F2.8 Macro lens, it seemed an appropriate subject.
Addendum: I now have included a note (at top right) showing a full image of the doll.
