Flowers - Peruvian Lilies
I had no idea what these colourful flowers may be, they were on bushes growing in a park in the Dandenong Ranges near Melbourne. Wider view in PiP. UPDATE: Many thanks to Pam J, who has given the identification, they are Peruvian lilies - Alstroemeria
Remote Musgrave Ranges
Copied from an old slide (1971), near the remote part of the Musgrave Ranges in north west South Australia. Part of an ongoing slide copying project...

Battery macro
For Macro Monday #351, "rechargeable battery". This little battery normally sits in my pocket camera, a Panasonic Lumix LF-1.
At the gardens
Kangaroos at the local community gardens and bench, showing the need for the fence. :-)
Happy Bench Monday and have a good week, everyone.
Autumn's arrived
I've been copying old slides. As our autumn began on 1 March, this image, taken in Canberra many years ago, seemed quite timely with its autumn leaves - not commonly seen where I now live.

The fence on the wall
On Wednesday I posted an image of a retaining wall for the Wednesday Wall group. This is the fence that sits above that wall (visible, in part, at lower right).
Background info: The wall is a retaining wall for terracing between two properties - from the upper property only the fence is visible.
Happy Fence Friday and have a great weekend, everyone.

Ocean photographer competition
While in Sydney, I was particularly keen to visit the Australian Maritime Museum, which was hosting a display of winners in the global Ocean Photographer of the Year competition. The images were stunning and I'd think most photographers would struggle to achieve these results above water, let alone with (as in most cases) underwater housings etc. I know I'd be out of my depth!
Footnote: somehow this image partially duplicated at midpoint!
