Astronomical contrast
Old-style sundial seen with "The Dish". The Parkes steerable dish remains one of the world's leading radio telescopes. It also was involved in tracking the first human moon landing. Somewhat later came a comedy film "The Dish" about that event - a musical clip is here. HFF!

Many thanks, everyone for your kind comments and faves. By way of interest, I heard that they now have tracked down a mystery source of microwaves - to an oven in the staff canteen! :-)
