Penguin Slope

Penguin Slope
The "Penguin Slope" seems to be famous among penguin enthusiasts and New Zealanders, but I feel it deserves wider awareness. The main rookeries of the Snares Penguins are in the shrubbery at the top of these steep rock slopes.

Amelia, .t.a.o.n., , and 20 other people have particularly liked this photo

Many thanks for all your kind comments and faves. I found this quite amazing, if anything that rock is more steep than it appears - you would need to be a climber to get up there!

Well, I hadn't heard of it! I can see the name wasn't drawn out of a hat... ;)

I suspect very few people have heard of it, Steve (I hadn't either until a short while previously).
