college of arms, queen victoria street, london

college of arms, queen victoria street, london
originally a quadrangular building built in the late c17 to designs by maurice emmett jnr., one wing was lost to queen victoria street in the 1860s, when the porch and steps were added by george plucknett, who tidied up the wings too. the original entry was from the west, on the left side here. the gates came from goodrich court, and seem to be c18 ironwork added to by the bromsgrove guild in the c20 .
