Joe, Son of the Rock club has replied to Jocelyne Villoing clubWe have just come back from Fife a day early as the storm that was forecast threatened to close the Forth Road Bridge which meant that the Kincardine Bridge and it's environs would be chock a block. I was so disappointed, but at least we managed a visit to St.Andrews and the weather was fine. For the first time in ages we also got to play on the ladies' putting green, (the Himalayas), as our trip didn't totally clash with the Dunhill Cup.
Joe, Son of the Rock club has replied to Amelia clubI don't see why the closure of the Forth Road Bridge would impinge significantly on you plans, since general traffic (cars and HGVs) are not allowed to use this bridge. I sometimes cross the bridge on the bus, and the traffic is quite light compared to the heavy volume experienced before the opening of the Queen's Crossing Assuming the Queen's Crossing, the Kincardine Bridge and the Clackmannan Bridge (known locally as 'The Wee Coonty Brdige') were all open, I should have thought crossing the Forth would be a dawdle.
Despite having been in St Andrews hundred of times, I haven't photographed 'The Himalayas'. I must rectify this soon.
Thanks for your visit to my gallery, and your customary kind comment..
