You piqued my interest to find the place I'd visited one in Chicago many years ago. My ex and went to the Chicago Art Institute and on their basement floor there was this incredible exhibit of miniature dollhouse rooms that completely blew me away. In fact, I simply had to stop looking because I became numb from the amazement of what I was looking at. I am overjoyed to find gorgeous pictures of what I saw! www.artic.edu/departments/PC-15/thorne-miniature-rooms
To see these in person is staggering. But the pictures will give you the general idea! :)
Ruesterstaude club has replied to Janet Brien clubThe Zollverein colliery, also known as the "Eiffel Tower of the Ruhr Area", was an active coal mine in Essen from 1851 to 1986. It was named after the German Customs Union, founded in 1834. Today it is an architectural and industrial monument. Together with the immediately adjacent Zollverein coking plant, the mines 12 and 1/2/8 of the colliery have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2001. Zollverein is the anchor point of the European Route of Industrial Culture and the location of various cultural institutions as well as the Folkwang University of the Arts. -->wikipedia
I am often there, there is always something new.
