An instant after I took this picture, a French couple wandered out in front of me, and walked right up to the tree, stepping off the trail and onto the crust that signs all over the park and on every brochure and map warn you not to step on. Apparently so that they could better see the natural formations.

A small, nondescript valley near the beginning of the hike. Surprisingly, for not being quite as spectacular as the other parts of the hike, I got a lot of good shots.
