Heute vor 50 Jahren ...
"Schritte auf dem Mond" – Deutsche Erstausgabe.

Apollo 11.

Well, there are those that are so weird that they're funny again! "Elvis is still alive", "The earth is a disk" :-D

I would just like to know: how stupid does someone have to be to believe the earth is flat? Last year a group of flat-earthers said they were going to build a rocket to go into space and prove the earth is flat. This got a lot of laughs all over the internet. A couple of astronomers said, "Nice! Go ahead. Hope you make it back to show us your proof!"

And I wonder what these people do for a profession. Imagine, they are teachers, therapists, scientists.... and are convinced the earth is a disc!

Not likely they are functioning well in society. I see them as having one or more mental illnesses, such as Schizotypal Personality or Delusional Disorder, neither of which may be serious enough to do harm to others or come to the attention of mental health workers. In another era, they would simply have been known as eccentric. Now also known as "nuts." They would not be able to keep normal jobs unless they had extraordinarily tolerant employers and coworkers. Most likely they are not working at all or work in solitary jobs. Schizotypals are very rare, I only met one in my entire career. He worked in the back room of a local charity shop.

Wow! It seems you're an expert in human behavioral psychology! Have you studied psychiatry? Maybe after seeing "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"? :)
