- in the middle of the road
- wings outstretched to dry
- there were two
- one quickly went to the grassy area
- next to the cobblestone road
- then into the lakewaters
- the other one
- took [her] time
- meandering across the road
- to the grass
- her friend, Don Ibis close behind
- stopping to fuss at me
- came so close to the car
- still with outstretched wings
- what a treat to see upclose
