Yes ! Flicka is specifically called a Blue Heeler !

Blue Heeler... the red variety are Red Heelers (There is a Texas Heeler too)... ! ACD or Cattle dogs yes .. but there are types within that general name.

I know, I was just referring to his country of origin. I recently came across one called a stumpy-tailed cattle dog, cross between a herder called Smithfield (never heard of it) and the dingo. Definitely looks very dingo-y with blue heeler coloring and apparently doesn't have as many breeds mixed in. www.dogbreedinfo.com/stumpytailcattledog.htm

That is a new one on me too ! Def has Dingo I would say.. that is a wonderful breed mix as well... heck that would be one single minded faithful dog. Takes a challenge and gives one. I love that spirit.

Incidently.. Flicka has a stub tail... but it had to have been done as a baby pup before I found him ... I hate that it was done ( I would never allow it even in my traditionally done working dogs.... it is not necessary or kind).. but all I can say is it was done professionally and cleanly and "properly" often that is not so.

When you are 11 years old, you are allowed to smile or not as you please.

Very handsome boy. When you told me they were brothers, I didn't expect them to look so different.

Smiles... That is why I put the word "brothers" in quotes.

Flicka is a Blue Heeler.. and was 13 mths old when he found Lucas who was dumped in a park on a 100F day. Lucas was about 7 weeks old.

Lucas was the only dog Flicka could be around... he loved the laid back Alien in a Dog suit that Lucas was. Lukie was probably a Collie x Flat Coated Retriever
