Really bad news about Ipernity. Right from the start I liked it better than Flickr. Don't really know where to go now. I opened an account at 23hq, but am feeling rather deflated and unwilling to make the effort to start there.

Ron..... I found you on flickr and clicked to follow.

23 ... I did join... but the fact that the "team" there has done nothing since 2006......

So.... I am dragging back to flickr .....sigh.... and starting alllllll overrrrr againnnnnn. Just one pic at a time.... I cant face more than that weither.. come and keep me company !

Don't know about going back to Flickr, Pam. I can't stand getting hit in the face with a page of photos every time I open a page and I hate Yahoo with a passion.

Ron.... consider this.... most of us agree totally.. but picking ones battles is a learned art... and not cutting ones nose off to spite ones face is a very grown up thing.

You can thank my beloved Mum who died when I was 14 for those thoughts. She was a wise woman with a stubborn daughter who is still at 61 working on both those pieces of wisedom

It's not so much cutting off one's nose to spite one's face, Pam, as feeling totally deflated and not having the desire or energy to put into another site that I don't like anyway and that is is being sold to Verizon and so has a very uncertain future.

Ron.... I know I know.... we are all feeling like this.... I even considered when I read the news of just not bothering.... at all.......... But I am very isolated here... I love to see the pictures.. I love to share and be shared with.. so I asked myself WHY I should let that go. I decided to take back control and do what I wanted... If it last a day ..a month.. a year... 10 years... I am making the decision that THEY wont take this from me till I allow it. If the shut flickr down I will continue to use something. I use my Shutterfly albums almost daily... I hope that makes some sense.

I'm trying out 23hq and 500px at the moment. Still undecided on whether or not to try Flickr. Part of the problem there is that after I left Flickr the bunch of Yahoos at Yahoo jerked me around for more than a year - I was on a chat for native orchids - and the end result was that I was never able to get back on the chat and don't even know if I can get back on any Yahoo site.

DO NOT put any pic on 23 you value.. its right click save as no security. They have done nothing in there since 2006 and their own words are "its a hobby".

Yahoo.. I have been with them for 14 years.... they frustrate the fire out of me... but I hate them less than google et al.... I am not on faceless nor ever shall be.

With Marissa found iut for the fake she was.. yahoo has changed.. and it will be interesting at least to see what Verizon does. I dont trust any anymore.

I have seriously debated not carrying on....but I am isolated enough..and I value the friends I have made.

For now.. on my own terms... I will see what flickr does... I cannot see Ip surviving.. they dont WANT to.

Try throwing you hat in the door.. on your own terms.

Its just Jay and I..and has become our Christmas present to us. A nice meal before.. a mind blowing concert.. and walking away feeling JOY.... isnt that just something !

Also.. TSO have kept their word for over 20 years..... the fans are their life blood... they believe that the children of this world deserve love and a future. Novel approach in a sad bad world at times. The audience literally spans ages 2 years to 98 years old ! Again... how rare is that that it is a family rock extravaganza !!

I waited years to see these folk. In the UK I followed them for 15 years.. then to come here and actually to be able to see them !!!
