I had the Sony HX100V as the "workhorse" camera(I have the a65 as well) . The HX100 finally died a week ago... its possibly worth only $35 (before it broke !) now... cost over $500 to buy. It owed me nothing.. its had around 90,000 photos through it)

SO.. I have replaced it with the newest version the HX400V . They have improved the camera.. and I am very happy with it.. as I was its predecessor ! The HX100 was almost welded to me.. it was with me every time I went outside.. and so will this one be. It means it has a tough life... lots of dust here.. and no matter how careful you are.. they have finite lives.

What lovely photograph of these beautiful pear blossoms! We use to have Bartlett Pear at Christmas dessert after the turkey with potato dumplings and, as a superb liquor - we call it in Germany "William’s Christ".

They are one of the nicest modern dessert Pears (I love William's too) The Bartletts also freeze well as cooked fruit.
