It was freezing cold, stormy and loud from thousends of birds. The hike on harsh lava fields is stressful.

Still I will remember this place as a quiet fascinating world in balance with its surroundings.

The Snæfellsness Peninsula is exceptionally beautiful. At some beaches we saw seals in there natural habitat close in front of us.
