Here is an old photo. The cycle of life begins…
The Robins no longer come to my door to build their nest, but once upon a time they returned every year. I was so privileged to be able to watch this little miracle really close up. This year's late Spring brought it to mind.
So here I sit, with another foot or so of snow piling up outside, even though it is officially Spring. Thank goodness this little beauty brought some colour into the house last week and offered me a little something bright to work with. Can someone please explain to me how this "global warming" is causing a mini ice age?? this Winter is never-ending!!!
this nest got quite busy and a lot bigger as last summer wore on. I don't think they'll come back. I've been told that by leaving the old nest in place it would discourage new wasps. we'll see...
wonderful green, summery image to contrast the tons of snow outside. I can't wait...
I hope this summer brings butterflies, last summer brought virtually none to my back yard.
One of Ralphi Girl's rare forays into the great, white wilderness. In the winter she turns into an indoor cat. She has no use for the white stuff. I don't blame her.
I'm not really a foodie, and I don't take a lot of pictures of food, but this looked so yummy and colourful, I thought it would be a shame not to snap it before I ate it. BTW, it tasted as deicious as it looked!
