Last flight outta town

Languishing around the back of Liverpool's old art deco airport terminal. This Bristol Britannia has the distinction of being the same kind of aeroplane that the Beatles used for that iconic piece of film where they're at this airport amidst the height of screaming Beatlemania.
As for the photo, it's kinda dingy, but that matched the weather and perhaps my mood so, well, meh. But view a bit larger and the texture of the apron is nice.

In the world's smallest armchair? ;)
If you're about to look through the Gaza pics, how about using the set so you get them in chronological order?

Some convoyers had to wait up to four days in Cairo airport, essentially under house arrest, until a flight could be found for them. I felt like an airline rep, going through the motions Kafka would have been proud of to get the chief policeman's permission to speak to a desk, await an escort, speak to the desk, be told I needed to speak to an adjacent one, be escorted back , seek the chief policeman's attention again, achieve further permission, and... and reset. Why me? Because I was the only one not either shouting or suicidal by this point. Kinda fun. In the end people flew back from Cairo to the UK via Istanbul, Athens, you name it.
