Enough is enough

Some convoyers had to wait up to four days in Cairo airport, essentially under house arrest, until a flight could be found for them. I felt like an airline rep, going through the motions Kafka would have been proud of to get the chief policeman's permission to speak to a desk, await an escort, speak to the desk, be told I needed to speak to an adjacent one, be escorted back, seek the chief policeman's attention again, achieve further permission, and... and reset. Why me? Because I was the only one not either shouting or suicidal by this point. Kinda fun. In the end people flew back from Cairo to the UK via Istanbul, Athens, you name it.
