Crab Apples
I found these on a piece of waste land near to where I live. Locals come and pick the apples during the autumn.

Eaten raw, crab apples are sour and astringent but there are many recipes available for making chutney, jam or jelly with them.

Ab und zu esse ich mal einen, aber sie schmecken etwas herb. Die Vögel dürfen sich bedienen. Ansonsten ist es eine schöne Deko.

The wastel and is the site of a long-demolished school, which the council have been threatening to do something with for years........and to be honest it's an eyesore, but it can provide some decent things to photograph. It's actually my old school which I left in 1968..!!

Ha, ha............no such luck I'm afraid. It's the site of a school that was demolished years ago..........but nothing has been done with the land yet. It's a bit of an eyesore, but sometimes a source of interesting photos.
