Wonderful light and shadows the old bricks make a nice background for the Jasmine. I wonder why the grey mortar was used for pointing the wall. I hope the storm didn't cause you any problems Keith

I don't know why the grey mortar was used, but the gardens date back to around 1147, so I would guess they've been re-pointed dozens of times.

We were hardly touched by the storm......just heavy rain and high winds. Others around the UK were not so lucky........flooding has been terrible in some areas.

One for both the HFF & HWW groups Keith. we had a trellis something like this against a similar wall but now the wall is almost invisible behind greenery. well spotted and captured here.
