Thanks Güni............there are a lot of houseboats near where I live. Some people live in them all year round, and some just come in the summer or when they're on holiday.

They're quite popular in the south of England Stephan. Some people live in them all year round, and some only in the summer. For others they're used as holiday homes.

They're not for everybody............I think I would have liked living on one when I was much younger, but definitely not now!

It looks like the boat hulls and superstructure are being repainted. Only Ellen lacks support. A beautiful houseboat impression at low tide.

I think you're probably right Mikus...........I couldn't get a closer look as that part is private property! I think that working on the hull of the boats would only be possible at low tide.
