These are so nice to view Keith. I seldom see them up this way and was first swept of my feet with them whilst camping in Normandy many years back. A great capture from you in the manner that I have come to expect. Well done.

I remember these were quite rare once............and now they seem to be quite common. I think they're really lovely...........and I'm pleased you like this shot.

Much cooler here today............we had about 4 hours of rain this morning which has freshened things up a bit. I think that's the lot for a while now though.

My very elderly iMac is really struggling in the heat (a bit like me)........I have to shut it down every hour or so or it crashes. Luckily I've just taken delivery of a Macbook Pro laptop, so I've just got to transfer everything across to get it up and running. I just have to find time to do it........and a day cool enough to do it on :-)

You have managed a lovely picture of this one Keith. I saw just one along the River Stour last week, but didn't get a shot worth showing. I expect there were others somewhere nearby, but I didn't see them.

Thank you Rosa.............there are sometimes as many as 20 of these in the trees at Langstone Harbour. The only problem is that they are so far away most of the time. Glad you like this one..!!

Wow! That’s Amazing! I have never seen one in real life. Egret used to appear regularly as a crossword solution. I used to do a crossword every day.

They used to be rare in the UK, but not now. They're especially common near where I live. Glad you like it Jan.

I'm currently working my way through a book of Evening Standard Cryptic crosswords. I try to do two or three a week................makes my brain hurt sometime :-))
