Deze duif lijkt als twee druppels water op de duiven die hier gekweekt worden voor wedstrijden en weddenschappen, maar dan hebben ze wel een ring om de poten.

What a beauty. And your picture shows all of its pretty details too. I adore pigeons as long as there aren't too many at once. Too many and my foot gets twitchy. Otherwise, what more can you ask for than a comfortable bench next to a busy flock to watch, esp when there are lots of different colored-ones to enjoy. I remember walking in a city in Provence, France where we saw a bunch of colorful pigeons. Steve went off for a few minutes and so I stood transfixed, watching the group of birds cooing and busy at pecking up any stray goodies they could find. Fun. :)
