On my walk last Tuesday, I ventured on to a beach as the tide was receding and discovered this old and empty oyster shell covered in barnacles. I thought it was very photogenic and put it up on a wall to take a couple of shots. The "ghostly" sailing boats made a good background, I thought. Try viewing large for detail. Thanks for looking. I thought I'd save a few shells from my last still-life image and post them as a simple macro shot. Taken on a table in my garden in natural light. Craft paper used as a background.
