We've had our family visiting this week and I've taken quite a few family snaps. I like this one so much that I've decided to share it. It was taken yesterday during an unexpected downpour at Langstone Harbour, where we had gone so our "grown up children" and our grandchildren could feed the ducks and swans. We had to take refuge under the huge parasols at the Ship Inn where we drank hot chocolate and played board games.

Thank heavens for Olympus weather-sealing!

Please view large, on black.

Looks just like it has been here for the last few weeks with no relief in sight. Makes an interesting family photo though. Your grandchildren look as though they are enjoying it!

I have the same camera and lens. I have not had it out in the rain yet so I will take your word for it. This beats a "Line them up and shoot them" family photograph any day. Well done.

I've used the EM1 and both the 12-40 and 40-150 Pro lenses in the rain several times without any problems. I always dry them before putting them back in the bag and if I've been near the sea, as here, I wipe them down with a damp cloth to clean any salt water off.

Thanks for stopping by and glad you like the shot!

In my part of the world the only salt water on my camera will my tears when I miss that great shot by forgetting my SD card. :)

Thanks Diane..........it was a heavy downpour, but it didn't last too long and the sun came out shortly afterwards. We always have great fun when we're together with the grandchildren!
