Sitting here looking out of my living room window at the rain pouring down has prompted me to post a sunny image made at the beach in Exmouth, Devon during our recent visit. We've had our family visiting this week and I've taken quite a few family snaps. I like this one so much that I've decided to share it. It was taken yesterday during an unexpected downpour at Langstone Harbour, where we had gone so our "grown up children" and our grandchildren could feed the ducks and swans. We had to take refuge under the huge parasols at the Ship Inn where we drank hot chocolate and played board games. Thank heavens for Olympus weather-sealing! Please view large, on black.

I have replaced the original of this shot with one processed in an Apple App called Dramatic Black & White. It is dead easy to use (which suits me fine) and so far, I'm impressed with the results.

On the seafront in Appledore. It rained on and off the whole time we were there!
